Weeks ago, I contacted Senator Cardin’s office with a simple question. As the State Department has released their report which explained in great detail how Hillary Clinton violated some of the most basic rules regarding the handling of classified information, did Senator Cardin condone or condemn her actions in this matter?
Ten days ago, I contacted the Senator’s office once more, as I had not heard a response yet. I was bounced from staffer to staffer, until finally I ended up with the voicemail of yet another staffer that I suspect had been told not to pick up the phone. My question was the same, and I explained in my voicemail that there was no middle of the road here. Did the Senator condone or condemn Hillary’s actions regarding the proper handling of classified information?
Since then, I have heard nothing. I will try the Senator’s office again tomorrow. But it speaks volumes about the character of an elected official when they go to great lengths to avoid answering the simplest of questions, especially when those questions require them to take a stand.
