Still Waiting To Hear From Senator Cardin

I live in Maryland, so I am kind of stuck with having liberal representatives. Didn’t vote for them, don’t like it all, but the situation is what the situation is.

Two days ago, I contacted Senator Cardin’s office and informed them I want the Senator’s stance on Hillary blatant and highly illegal use of a private, non-secure email account in order to conduct official business as Secretary of State. As the State Department’s report recently detailed, this was unapproved, highly illegal, against all their rules and regulations, was used to transmit highly classified information, and was hacked not once, but several times.

My question to Senator Cardin’s staff member was simple: where does the Senator stand on Hillary’s behavior?

The staffer said that the Senator had already endorsed Hillary. I replied that this was not my question. I wanted to know if Senator Cardin condoned or condemned her flagrant violation of rules and laws that are intended to safeguard classified information. If anyone else (and I have held an above Top Secret security clearance, so I  know what I am talking about) had done the same thing, they would not be running for President. They would not be raising campaign contributions. They would not be giving speeches and charging six-figure speaking fees. They would be behind bars. Hillary is a private citizen. How does her situation differ from those who held similar security clearances, ignored the rules, and were punished for it?

Once more, I informed the staffer that I simply needed to know one thing: Does Senator Cardin, who is my elected representative, condone or condemn her actions? The staffer, who was very polite and considerate throughout this entire conversation, said that she would get an answer and get back with me.

That was two days ago. Still waiting.

I will keep my readers informed of how this goes.
